Even voorstellen: Denys

De teams van Dharma werken op lokatie in Amersfoort. Denys is hierop onze uitzondering en is ‘onze man in Ukraine’. Hij is de remote Magento specialist binnen de teams en deelt dagelijks zijn Magento expertise met ons. Hij stelt zich graag voor.

Achtergrond

Hello my name is Denys, I am a PHP Back-end Developer.

My primary area of work is PHP Magento Back-end, but I’m very curious about other technologies and always strive to broaden my experience. I started my journey as a Developer from Laravel (a great instrument), soon after that I started to work in a company where the main framework was Magento, which has become my long time favorite.

Working as a Back-end Developer I also had a lot of Front-end related tasks, mainly with JavaScript (including HTML and CSS). Since I enjoyed that, I studied JS and Front-end more deeply with native JS, Knockout JS (Magento Front-end instrument) and Vue.js.

On the server side, I enjoy working with Linux and developing bash scripts. I have experience with Nginx and Apache, but I believe Docker is the future, so I prefer to work with Docker containers.

Vrije tijd

Music is my passion. I can play the guitar (electro, acoustic, bass, ukulele), drums, and some harmonica. I had a band in the past, but nowadays I only jam and chill.  

Most of my free time I spend by reading books and comics, and I even (proudly) have my little library collection.

Even though I only started after my twenties, I was a fast reader. When a friend introduced me to comic books, a new door opened. It was a smooth transition as I was mostly reading the same author (Neil Gaiman), starting with “Sandman”. My favorite so far is the comic book “Image”.

I also play some computer games, watch TV shows, or podcasts on YouTube about literature, art and cinema.

In the future I plan to travel a lot with my girlfriend, to see different countries and nature landscapes; mountains for example. As I loved Greek mythology when I was a kid, Greece is on the top of my list. I have a big desire to see their architecture and visit the island of Crete.

I will create a great future for me and my family, it is my main goal in life.
